Description & Requirements

The purpose of this job is to oversee audit operations for the practice unit. This will include helping to develop and implement various initiatives in collaboration with the Audit Department Head.   


How you will contribute: 

  • Developing and monitoring initiatives to enhance department workflow 
  • Facilitating communication with the department 
  • Communicating directly with clients to facilitate timely receipt of audit materials 
  • Coordinating and facilitating training for interns, in-charges, and other audit staff 
  • Coordinating audit professionals for recruiting & other events 
  • Monitoring CPA progression of audit associates and identifying necessary areas of support 
  • Monitoring Associate hours to look for excess capacity or overworked associates; Facilitating changes to schedule as needed to balance the workload for associates; providing feedback to the department head (and individual coaches) as necessary 
  • Monitoring budgeted vs. actual charge hours for audit team (Associate through Manager) 
  • Assisting with management and engagement of remote staff to ensure proper utilization and development 
  • Leading onboarding of experienced hires to facilitate engagement and integration 
  • Mentoring associates and interns in peak season to help set throughput goals and meet client target dates 
  • Assisting with the implementation of the audit schedule, including monitoring workflow changes and the impact on scheduled hours vs budgeted & actual hours, looking for underutilization or over-scheduling, and following up with engagement executives

 Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field 
  • 1 year or more of professional services experience (3 or more years preferred) 
  • Strong tech skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, web-based applications & e-mail
