Description & Requirements

FORVIS is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Consultant to advise our clients on business strategies, opportunities, and state and federal regulatory issues. FORVIS’ firmwide industry-leading experts and vast resources would be fully available to support these efforts.


How you will contribute:

  • Establishing and maintaining new and existing client relationships
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of industry regulations and filing requirements
  • Developing and implementing strategic business plans
  • Consulting on state and federal regulatory issues and interpretations
  • Assisting clients with any CLEC planning and implementation
  • Negotiating with regulatory agencies on industry players
  • Developing strategy and the tariff filing package for rate changes
  • Delegating and overseeing the process of assisting clients with completing and submitting required industry filings
  • Writing and delivering presentations and proposals to continue marketing services to potential clients and industry groups
  • Presenting at and attending seminars, trade shows, and client relations functions
  • Maintaining accurate records of time and expenses to ensure proper client billing
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

  • Ability to travel overnight as needed, up to 20%

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Telecommunications related field
  • At least five (5) years of experience working with telecommunications and regulatory issues
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Universal Service issues
  • Knowledge of local exchange competition, access charge reform, and cross-subsidy analysis
