Description & Requirements
As an Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) Senior Managing Consultant, you will lead projects for clients in a variety of industries and with various types of capital structures. Likely projects include providing accounting advisory services for clients as they prepare for public filings, are involved in significant mergers & acquisitions, undergo significant business or capital structure transformation and/or implement new accounting standards.
To be successful as an AAS Senior Managing Consultant, you should have a passion for serving clients while working in demanding, time-sensitive circumstances. You should possess a strong understanding of complex US GAAP, have outstanding communication and project management skills and be an excellent coach to less experienced team members.
How you will contribute:
- Participating on project delivery teams
- Participating in communications with C-level client executives including delivery of regular project updates and final presentations of project results
- Daily responsibility of training, collaborating, and developing other team members
- Ensuring projects comply with firm quality control standards
- Reviewing your work, and potentially, the work of others for technical accuracy
- Providing sound and accurate advice on the application of complex accounting standards
- Solving problems in service delivery execution as they arise
- Managing client participation
- Meeting project deadlines
- Coaching team members to high levels of performance

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 4 years or more of experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, or accounting and technical reporting for an SEC registrant or a company that underwent the IPO process
- Held one or more prior leadership positions with oversight of other team members
- Strong technical expertise in the areas of financial accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, M&A or financial operations
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication skills including strong verbal, listening and writing skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA license a plus
- SEC financial reporting assistance including advising on Form S-1, S-4, 10-Q or 10-Ks or foreign private issuer equivalents.
- Experience serving SPACs through the registration process or through de-SPAC transactions
- Provide opinions on complex financial reporting matters and technical accounting issues
- Drafting technical memos and assistance with complex accounting calculations
