Description & Requirements

Our National Healthcare Advisory Practice is searching for a Managing Consultant. In this position, you will be supporting our management team on various projects within our Consulting practice.  

As a Managing Consultant within our National Healthcare Advisory Practice, you will be working with the firm’s healthcare executive leadership team in building the firm’s pharmacy and 340B Drug Pricing Program (340B) performance improvement capabilities. In addition, you will be working with a highly collaborative team that is solely dedicated to the healthcare industry.  


How you will contribute: 

  • Assisting with developing pharmacy strategy, business plan, and pharmacy processes 
  • Working with specialty pharmacy strategy 
  • Setting up entity owned pharmacies 
  • Evaluating onsite pharmacies at entities 
  • Evaluating entity formularies for opportunities 
  • Assessing pharmacy spending and quality outcomes 
  • Pharmacy benefit manager 
  • Payer contracting for pharmacy 
  • Pharmacy billing and pricing 
  • Providing guidance to clients regarding their 340B and other pharmacy operations: 
    • Operational Assistance 
    • Split-billing vendor implementations 
    • Split-billing vendor maintenance i.e. Drug Crosswalk Maintenance 
    • Compliance Reviews 
    • Independent Reviews 
    • HRSA Audit Experience a plus 
    • Policy and Procedure Development 
    • 340B network expansion i.e. development of contract pharmacy arrangements, child sites, direct purchases, orphan drugs, and other opportunities 
    • 340B Financial Reporting 
  • Advising, communicating, and presenting to all levels including C-suite, management, and pharmacy staff 
  • Providing in-depth process knowledge and leadership to clients 
  • Providing an unmatched client service® experience and identifying additional value-added services 
  • Actively participate in specific healthcare industry groups (Becker’s, Apexus, 340B Health, HFMA, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to think independently and train other team members as needed 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% depending on client commitments 


Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Pharmacy, Technology, or a related field 
  • Experience with pharmacy performance improvement projects, including qualitative and quantitative tasks 
  • Exposure to advanced Excel, IT platforms, and healthcare 
  • Strong technical skills, experience with spreadsheets, databases, and an automated audit work paper system 
  • Experience with project management 
  • Past employment with large/medium-sized consulting firm(s) including advocacy, pharmaceutical industry, and/or hospital environment
